this hotel was located in a central area very close to the city centre of newcastle and st james' park and areas that rats are running rife. coffee, milk, fresh bread, and cereals provided for breakfast was outstanding....

It was a bit basic within the rooms - seemingly as much crammed together as possible. Breakfast was basic continental. Appeared to be a business set up purely to make money rather than provide frills that encourage people to be positive. However, if just needing a place to stay overnight and not needing those frills then it does the job. In the following week we stayed at hotels/guest houses that were of a similar cost and offered a lot more.

It was close to the city and easy to find.
The TV was not working fully and the lights were not plugged in. There was no hairdryer.

A basic, clean hotel with small but adequate rooms and a 24 hour reception. There was a nice lounge area and large TVs
The floors are very creaky upstairs which means that it is impossible to be quiet so quite disturbing at night. Also, the door shuts mean that slamming doors are also a nuisance.

The curtain in the room was about 8 inches too short for the window so I was awoken at 6am both mornings because of the light. I had asked someone at reception if they could change it which they said they would.....but never did!! We were informed that there would be Wifi in the room and there wasn'T. We had to go to the lobby to receive a Wifi signal. The room was tiny!! There were no wardrobes or chest of drawers just a double bed and a desk....after that there was no more room for anything!!
